  • Zurich Airport (ZRH) is the closest airport. The town of Vitznau is approximately 60 minutes drive from the airport.

    Car Rental:  Cars can be rented at the Zurich Airport. For your convenience, following are a few links to popular rental car agencies.

    Car Service: You can book a private car service that includes a meet and greet service where you will be met outside of customs/baggage claim with a name sign.  You can book one way or round-trip. Below are two recommended car service companies.

    Airport Taxi: You can hire a taxi at the airport’s official taxi stand.

  • We have pre-reserved rooms for our guests at Hotel Vitznauerhof. Our wedding planner Nicki will get in touch with you by email to charge room options and prices and finalize your booking.

  • Summers in Switzerland can be really warm! However, since Vitznau is located by Lake Lucerne and at the foot of the alps, it can get fresh at night. The dinner and party is taking place at Hotel Vitznauerhof so you will have opportunities to change whenever needed. Please check the weather forecast a couple of days before your trip.

    For your comfort, we kindly recommend bringing a light wrap for the cooler evening hours and sunglasses for the outdoor ceremony. If the weather allows, the ceremony will take place outdoor on a grass field.

  • We will let you know about the dresscode very soon.

    Please be aware that there will be a 45-minutes boat trip after the ceremony. Please bring a light jacket or scarf to protect you against the wind. 

    Please Note: Mountain temperatures can vary throughout the day and tend to drop in the evenings, so we recommend that ladies bring a sweater or light jacket to stay comfortable.

  • Our afternoon ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, followed by dinner also outdoors. 

    Please note: In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors. We will  keep you updated with any changes!

  • Our wedding ceremony will be held at a surprise location.

    The dinner and party will be held at Hotel Vitznauerhof in Vitznau. 

    Group transportation will be organized throughout the wedding day directly from the Hotel Vitznauerhof.

  • Both, the welcome event as well as the farewell brunch will take place at Hotel Vitznauerhof. We have the whole hotel booked for us so we hope you will feel at home and enjoy the 3 days with us by Lake Lucerne!

  • On the wedding day, we will serve refreshments at 13:00 hours in the Lobby of Hotel Vitznauerhof. Please arrive latest at 13:30 as the shuttle busses will depart to the ceremony location.

  • Yes, there are parking spots directly at Hotel Vitznauerhof and across the street.

  • Children are invited. Unless explicitly mentioned, we are not inviting plus ones.

  • All of our invited guests are warmly welcome to join us for each of the scheduled wedding festivities:

    • Thursday, July 9th – Welcome Event “Lake it Easy” as of 5pm

    • Friday, July 10th – Wedding Ceremony, Reception & Dinner

    • Saturday, July 11th – Farewell Brunch

  • Please let us know in your RSVP whether you and/or a family member have any dietary restrictions (kosher, vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, celiac, lactose free, and any other allergies or intolerances).

  • We understand the time, effort, cost, and energy it takes to join us for our wedding, and we are truly honored to have you as our guests. Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for—so please come with empty hands and full hearts! 

    If you do decide to bring a gift, please consider that we have to travel with it in our suitcase back to New York!
